When COVID struck in March 2020, I suddenly lost access to my studio. I’d already purchased a DSLR camera to document my ceramic work, so I decided to use this time to capture the emptied streets of NYC. I began photographing my spacious backyard in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, experimenting with different editing techniques. The more I picked up my camera to document my surroundings, the more I found that these images influenced and inspired my ceramics.
