Holding an MFA in Ceramics from SUNY New Paltz, his research centers on in-glaze luster reduction techniques rooted in the Islamic Golden Age and Abbasid Iraq. His work investigates how ceramic form functions as vessel for cultural memory, displacement, and the sensory experience of home. He is the author of Investigations, a series of long-form essays on cultural ethics, structural critique, and political economy.
